Email on the go!
Many have asked... many have tried.... but some have left wanting to toss their iPhone/Droid across the room with the semi-confusing details of setting up email on their phones.
Fear not... the following will allow you to receive mail and send mail from your Warner Pacific College email account!
To start, setup a new mail account on your phone:
- setup an IMAP connection.
The host name: mail.warnerpacific.edu
username: your username
password: your password
outgoing mail server:
you need to use a 3rd party smtp provider such as verizon or gmail to send email.
example: smtp.gmail.com
Incoming settings:
Use SSL ON
Authentication NTLM
Server Port 993
That's it!! One option that I have is under the general settings of turning "Push" on and having it update every 15 minutes.
*NOTE* This will deplete your battery on your phone faster, but you will be alerted of emails more frequently.
