Network redesign this summer @ WPC

Details A message from the Director Bill Kirk

Our network has served us well for the last 11 years, but with growth, the implementation of our network needs to be upgraded to accommodate that growth.

This has to do with the hardware as well as numbering schemes that are used ?behind the scenes? by equipment connected to our network.

This summer, we are going to be making changes that will accommodate the growth. We expect that our changes will have minimal impact on your work. Some of the work can be done during the regular work day, other work will be done on weekends/evenings so as not to impact your work.

We are starting with the printers on our network. For the next two weeks, we will be changing the names/network addresses of our printers. The impact on you is that you may need to reinstall a printer as we go through the process. We will keep those of you that might be impacted by this notified as we go through the process and Aaron will be available to help guide you through the process if needed.

We expect this to be a pretty painless experience.

Thanks in advance.

If you have questions or comments,, please let me know.

Bill
