Keep in mind that if you are a manager of a category, system level manager, or system level administrator, you will not be automatically enrolled in a course as a teacher after creating the course shell. You will need to follow these steps to enroll yourself as a teacher for the course in order to recieve email notification from the course and to participate as a teacher in the course shell.
